Ingram Cars Ltd was formed by Simon Ingram’s desire to offer the highest quality hand-picked cars with a strict criteria for condition and originality, and to provide a genuine and caring customer service, applying over 35 years professional dealership experience.

Youngest son of Sussex born parents, Simon grew up in the Newhaven and Seaford area of East Sussex during the 1980s and developed an enthusiastic interest in cars. He particularly recalls being inspired by Fords of that era; models such as the Ford RS 2000, XR3i, XR4i, Escort and Sierra Cosworth, and more recently, the Ford Focus RS.

Simon’s passion for cars grew when, aged 12, he started visiting car dealerships. He collected a vast library of car brochures many of which were from a Ford dealership in Seaford. Aged around 15 he was granted temporary leave from school on a ‘work release’ scheme and kindly, Mr Jermyn of the local Ford dealership, agreed to provide him with the experience. This arrangement extended to cleaning cars at weekends and helping out during the school holidays and busy times of the year. His rewards were rides in all the best and latest new Fords!

With encouragement and support from his parents, Simon trained as a motor technician for a couple of years. Upon realising it wasn’t quite for him, but gaining valuable experience, he spent the next few years employed by GKN Autoparts, and finally aged 22 embarked on a much anticipated career in car sales. Considerable knowledge and experience was gained in the motor trade while working with various manufacturers, including a Toyota dealership. Eight years later he returned to the Ford dealership remaining for 18 years and becoming Sales Manager.

During this tenure Simon undertook regular professional development at Ford’s excellent training facilities based at Loughborough University, and Henry Ford Academy, Daventry. In addition to product training, finance and insurance, consumer law, consumer psychology, and management training, he completed the Ford Masters Programme achieving Master Status. He proudly became Ford UK product knowledge champion, and regularly achieved 100% satisfaction scores from customer surveys. He enjoyed the best new cars and became firmly established locally and nationally with both private and busines customers alike, as a trustworthy, friendly, and dependable car sales professional.

Simon Ingram has built enviable client loyalty and a reputation upon his knowledge, impartial advice, and commitment to quality in every aspect of business. Following on from a successful career with Ford which spanned nearly two decades, Simon joined forces with (previous customers) John Lawrence and son Thomas Lawrence, directors of a distinguished Health and Safety Consultancy. Together with shared values, Simon, John and Tom have enthusiastically launched Ingram Cars Limited.

Ingram Cars is born of the same principles gained with the manufacturer, all vehicles are personally checked, inspected, and driven by us to ensure they meet the high standards that are increasingly hard to find. Our cars are presented to the highest standards with the ultimate aim of providing the new owner with the best possible experience. In short, the cars on offer are the best you will find anywhere on the market.
