The race bred 2.0i VTEC F20C engine is mounted behind the front axle to allow the S2000 to achieve a perfect 50:50 weight distribution. The accompanying literature states at launch it had the highest output ever produced in a naturally aspirated engine, an incredible 120 PS per litre. A power output of 240bhp at 8,300rpm and 208Nm of torque at 7,500rpm allows a 0-62 time of just 6.2 seconds, and on to a top speed of 150mph. The sound and performance is exhilarating with a phenomenal 9,000rpm redline!
