Outstanding condition, and fastidiously maintained, right down to original equipment wiper blades with wind deflector. The pristine original Alloy wheels, untarnished brake callipers visible through the spokes, are fitted with matching Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres. The Black sculptured leather sports seats are spotlessly clean with perfect integrity, and unmarked. The digital instrument display, functions and controls operate seamlessly including ice-cold air conditioning, and original Honda sound system. Immaculate original equipment Honda S2000 carpet mats remain fitted from new protecting the carpets and the pristine boot area houses all tools and the spare wheel.
All lightweight panels are beautifully straight with only a few miniscule marks carefully touched in and barely worthy of mention. All wheel-arch apertures are spotlessly clean and the underside is representative of these credentials. Factory stickers to the bonnet underside and an immaculate engine bay as well as identification plates, bulkhead chassis stamp and coloured PDI dabs confirm the absolute originality of this amazing example.
The race bred 2.0i VTEC F20C engine is mounted behind the front axle to allow the S2000 to achieve a perfect 50:50 weight distribution. The accompanying literature states at launch it had the highest output ever produced in a naturally aspirated engine, an incredible 120 PS per litre. A power output of 240bhp at 8,300rpm and 208Nm of torque at 7,500rpm allows a 0-62 time of just 6.2 seconds, and on to a top speed of 150mph. The sound and performance is exhilarating with a phenomenal 9,000rpm redline! The short shift 6-speed gearbox is sublime.
